In order to achieve my goal of completing 12 Abstract Heads by the end of 2008, I am working on Alex (unfinished), Alyson, Sophie and Lina (looking at Susannah). Here's a montage of them all (not yet complete!)... can you see who is who?? Well, probably not, unless you know all of them!

Nate's Graduation

Nate's asked me to paint a picture for his graduation. I have already taken a series of pictures of him walking down the cloisters, and so I'll be using that as inspiration. It's going to be in the style of "Madonna and Child" which I painted in 2007.

 

 

Still Life, Manchester

and nearly finished "Caroline (Playing the Guitar)" so here's a first look (can you guess what colour the white stripes are going to be?)

Things are moving on apace with the Abstract Heads now, having competed Anastasia and Maria, and nearly completed Tracey, and I have Caroline (Playing the Guitar) to do too. I've also been commissioned to create an Abstract Head.... bookings taken here!

Jonathan Holden studied at Leeds College of Art in 1999 and then under the tutelage of Jackie Holdsworth, Huddersfield Technical College, England, from 2005 - 2007. On moving to Barcelona in 2007, Holden has been working on three main areas:
Abstract Heads - a series of acrylic paintings of abstract heads.
View from the Mies Pavilion - a series of sculptural works; and
Modern Life is Art - this series of works for Drap Art 2008.

Martin Creed makes a lot of rubbish art. And as a Turner Prize winner, he's certainly influential. So here's a few of his works (and, incidentally, he calls all of his works "Work ###).
